DISCNGINE & CENTOGENE: a collaboration that sparked a KNIME success story
One of the main pleasures of working in a company that offers services is having happy and satisfied customers, and when a customer is happy, a success story is one of the best ways to show it. As an official KNIME Partner, we at Discngine are extremely happy that the work accomplished with our client CENTOGENE resulted in a KNIME Success Story!
CENTOGENE’s focus is to generate data-driven insights to diagnose, understand, and treat rare diseases, shedding light on rare genetic disorders through the use of multi-omics and other advanced technologies. When they contacted us for this project and described their needs, our visions were immediately aligned, and the Discngine mission was clear: working with CENTOGENE to advance the frontiers of metabolomics.
To do so, we decided to harness the power of automation and integration, by relying on the KNIME software. If you are unfamiliar with KNIME, they are a software company that provides two complementary tools: the KNIME Analytical Platform, an open-source platform for creating data science, and the KNIME Server, the enterprise software which allows the deployment of workflows as analytical applications and/or services. Thanks to this, KNIME software is also used to increase team collaboration and perform automated processes.
With a clear vision for the proposed project goals and the means to reach them, Discngine offered its services for the professional creation, development, and optimization of KNIME workflows (both for the KNIME Analytical Platform and for the KNIME Server). The final result has further increased CENTOGENE’s effectiveness of their processes and increased the acceleration of their research and development, by automatically running a variety of different tasks and providing an easy and clean interface for their experiments.
