Discngine at the BIOVIA Conference 2022

Pipeline Pilot in Docker – Lessons learned from running BIOVIA Pipeline Pilot in containers
Back in 2017, Discngine started dockerizing a lot of its workloads and microservices. That effort rapidly propagated to BIOVIA Pipeline Pilot, which we first containerized at the end of the same year. Since then, Discngine Cloud Infrastructure has been running different flavours of Pipeline Pilot docker workloads for different use cases in the cloud. During the presentation, we will come back on this journey and review how dockerizing Pipeline Pilot has been a game changer on several aspects: from the sacrosanct dev/test/prod trinity management to non-regression tests, collections development, application integration, Kubernetes runtime, cost management but also the limits of such usage. We will answer questions like Should I do it? What are the mistakes to avoid? What use cases is it suitable for ?
